Hello! Welcome to June’s Backyard!

My name is June and I am a 4th generation sewing enthusiast. My business began on a whim when I came along to a class one day with my mom and she needed a student to fill an open spot. I am 9-years-old and a third grader at Sunnyside Elementary in the Pulaski Community School District.

After I cut out the pieces for my animals, you can usually find me on my couch in front of my TV stitching while I watch my favorite shows (I learned this from my mom). The cotton prints I used to make bellies, snouts, and wings are actually tiny scraps that my mom saved years ago when she was making and selling masks during the pandemic! I love little scraps; they’re good for so many things!

I make animals based on the critters I see in my rural neighborhood, and currently offer bears, foxes, bunnies, and birds. I have a squirrel on deck and then who knows what I’ll create next!

If you’d like to get in touch with me, my mom has put her email in the button below. She’s like my business manager, but she keeps me on task so I’m sure I’ll get the message! And if I’m set up at any markets in the future, I’ll be sure to post the dates and locations here on my page.

Thanks for supporting my small business and my dream to be an entrepreneur!
